STEUBEN REPORTS TWO MORE DEATHS RELATED TO COVID-19

BATH – The Steuben County Public Health Department received notification of the death of two individuals who had previously tested positive for COVID-19.  This brings the total number of COVID-19 related deaths in Steuben County to 106.  Both individuals were male residents of the Fred and Harriett Taylor Health Center.  One died while hospitalized at the age of 79 and the other died at the center at the age of 72.

“Each additional death from COVID-19 is a true tragedy for the community,” said Public Health Director, Darlene Smith.  “We wish that none of us has to experience the personal loss of someone we love due to this virus.  Help us stop the spread.”

All residents should continue to monitor themselves for COVID-19 symptoms of fever, cough, shortness of breath, chills or repeated shaking with chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat, and new loss of taste or smell and contact their healthcare provider for instructions if feeling ill.
