“COVID-19 has been found to spread more easily in settings where people are unmasked,” said Public Health Director, Darlene Smith. “In addition, anyone who attended the funeral service and/or the dinner after in Addison on September 29 should get tested.  These group settings have the power to spread the virus to a large amount of people, and it’s best to stop the spread beyond that event as soon as possible.”

All residents should continue to monitor themselves for COVID-19 symptoms of fever, cough, shortness of breath, chills or repeated shaking with chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat, and new loss of taste or smell and contact their healthcare provider for instructions if feeling ill.
