Wellsville Police: "No new developments" in Pine Street fires

Two destructive fires last month on Pine Street in Wellsville remain under investigation. Wellsville Police Chief Tim O’Grady said “there are no new developments.” On July 25^th, flames destroyed a garage. A few days later, a fire also gutted a home at 110 Pine Street. There were no injuries in either blaze. Police Lt. Josh Kear said both fires are being actively investigated. “In order to determine as exact cause, you need to be able to prove it,” Kear said. To date, those answers remain elusive. As it stands currently, the cause of both fires remains underdetermined. The fires are being examined by Wellsville Police and the Allegany County Fire Investigation Team.
