SPCA celebrates Valentine’s Day and more …..

It is not to late to Smooch a Pooch or Kiss A Kitty for just $1 at the SPCA Shelter in Belmont. And the shelter has many other specials going on to celebrate this most romantic time of the year.
Until the end of the month you can donate $14 to sponsor an SPCA animal currently in the shelter or honor the memory of a special pet. There will be heart-shaped cards for people to fill out that will be displayed in the lobby and throughout the shelter.
“The $14 will be used to purchase treats and toys for our animals in honor of Valentine’s Day,” said SPCA President Lynda Pruski.
For those who want to make smooching a pooch or kissing a kitty a more permanent thing in their lives, the SPCA has a special adoption deal going on. Celebrate Valentine’s Day this Friday, Saturday or Sunday by singing any love song to any special furry friend in the shelter and “We will take $25 off our adoption fee, for anyone who sings a love song, any love song to a shelter animal,” she said. “You can even bring in your own backup.”
