Regents Actions in 50 Professional Discipline Cases

The Board of Regents announced disciplinary actions this week resulting in the revocation of 1 license, surrender of 12 licenses and 37 other disciplinary actions. The penalty indicated for each case relates solely to the misconduct set forth in that particular case. Those involved across the area:

Shannon D. Rouguex a/k/a Shannon D. Rougeux a/k/a Shannon D. Clark; Licensed Practical Nurse; Hornell, NY 14843; Lic. No. 271385; Cal. No. 31118; Application to surrender license granted. Summary: Licensee did not contest the charge of medication administration errors.

Valerie Ann Fusco; Licensed Practical Nurse; Olean, NY 14760; Lic. No. 211276; Cal. No. 31696; Application to surrender license granted. Summary: Licensee did not contest the charge of having failed to complete a fifteen-minute check of a psychiatric patient and having documented that she completed the fifteen-minute check.

Lea Rose Sidari; Massage Therapist; Elmira, NY 14904; Lic. No. 028960; Cal. No. 31591; Application for consent order granted; Penalty agreed upon: Indefinite actual suspension until fit to practice, upon return to practice, 2 years probation, $500 fine.

Katherine Ann Demaree a/k/a Katherine A. Ryer; Veterinarian; Binghamton, NY 13905; Lic. No. 003772; Cal. No. 31360; Application for consent order granted; Penalty agreed upon: 1 month actual suspension, 23 months stayed suspension, upon return to practice, 2 years probation.
