Geneseo: Investigation into skeletal remains now involves University of North Texas

Geneseo - The investigation into the discovery of skeletal remains in a wooded area in Geneseo continues to expand. The remains were discovered Sunday afternoon. Early into the investigation, the Livingston County Sheriff said evidence at the scene pointed to the body being wanted fugitive David Clyde Morgan of Wilmington, North Carolina. Morgan fled from Geneseo police after an armed confrontation in July 2018. He wasn't seen again. The remains have been transferred to the Monroe County Medical Examiner’s Office for further investigation. The University of North Texas will be attempting to make the positive identification of the body and the time frame is expected to be several months. Morgan, whom police called a career criminal, was wanted in both New York and North Carolina.
