Genesee Valley Central School Hires Babbitt to Lead Marketing and Communication Efforts


Genesee Valley Central School has hired Jeff Babbitt to serve as Marketing, Brand & Communications Coordinator. In this newly created role, Babbitt will identify, implement and coordinate marketing and branding strategies to support district activities to the GVCS community. Major areas of focus include assessing and improving all communication activities, ensuring that a consistent image and message is being communicated, and promoting activities and events that are open to the community.
 
“There are many outstanding learning opportunities, invigorating lessons and community supports occurring at Genesee Valley Central School,” said Superintendent Dr. Brian Schmitt. “We needed someone to document the events and build an improved partnership with all stakeholders. Jeff brings the needed experience and background to improve relationships with families, businesses and the surrounding communities.”

Originally from Canisteo, NY, Babbitt graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Houghton College and a master’s degree from Geneva College (PA). He served on staff at Houghton College for over twenty years, most recently as Director of Marketing & Communications. At Houghton, Babbitt oversaw all external communication at the college including social media, public relations, event promotion, creative services and enrollment marketing.
