Belfast stabbing during robbery leads to plea deal

A 24-year-old Belfast man has pleaded guilty to a violent assault that ended with a stabbing. The District Attorney's Office says that Nolan Cox entered a guilty plea to second-degree assault, a violent Class D felony crime. He will be sentenced March 11th. Cox was initially charged with burglary, attempted robbery, felony assault and tampering with physical evidence. The attack occurred on September 2nd in Belfast. Prosecutors said Cox stabbed someone in the back while attempting to steal items from his home.
