Standoff ends with arrest of a Bolivar man

A Bolivar man was taken into custody following a more than six hour standoff at 8431 Jordon Hill Road in the Town of Clarksville. Troopers responded to the scene from multiple counties after receiving a report of a disturbance at 8:51 p.m. Friday. Eventually, at 3:27 a.m. Saturday State Police arrested Justin M. Ray, age 35. He was charged with felony first-degree reckless endangerment and second-degree menacing with a weapon. Arraigned in Clarksville court, Ray was remanded to the Allegany County jail on $1,000 cash bail or $2,000 bond. Shortly after police received the call, Allegany County Dispatchers told Troopers a man was holding a woman against her will and that one shot may have been fired. State Police Command requested all non-emergency radio traffic be halted until the scene was controlled.
