New Fund will serve Genesee Valley, Fillmore students

The family of Leonard and Margaret Kelley has established a scholarship with the Allegany County Area Foundation (ACAF).

The award will go to a Fillmore or Genesee Valley central school graduate who will be attending St. Bonaventure University or a SUNY college or university. ACAF anticipates awarding the first scholarship in the spring of 2021.

Leonard Kelley owned and operated a dairy farm in West Almond. He attended St. Bonaventure University. Margaret Kelley was a SUNY Albany alumna and served for many years as English teacher and librarian at Angelica Central School. The Kelleys valued higher education, and their children and extended family are proud to honor them by creating the Leonard and Margaret Kelley Memorial Scholarship.

With assets of $10 million, ACAF manages over 50 scholarship and grant funds. If you would like to donate to one of these funds, or establish a fund to support students or your community, contact Bruce Campbell at 585-296-5616 or director@acafny.org Donations to the foundation are tax deductible.
