Andover Police remind residents about grass in streets

The Andover Police Department and DPW would like to remind people that it is a violation of the law to mow grass into the streets.  This is due to safety concerns for motorcycles and bikes as well as problems is creates with the village drainage system.  With what little rain we had today it created ponding on the road and a mess on Elm St, Barney St, Church St and East Center Street. If we get a large amount of rain it could cause localized flooding.  The Village Police Department will be issuing appearance tickets for future violations.
