Belmont man arrested for Ward burglary, drug possession

PRESS RELEASE 
On August 27, 2019, SP Amity Troopers arrested Chad S. Jackson, 38, of Belmont, NY for Burglary 3rd Degree, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree, and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle 3rd Degree.
Troopers investigating a burglary in progress at a residence on Austin Road in the town of Ward allege Jackson had unlawfully entered the property and caused damage. He was also allegedly found to be in possession of a controlled substance.
Jackson was arrested and arraigned in Friendship Town Court and remanded to the Allegany County Jail in lieu of $5,000 bail or $10,000 bond. He is due to appear in Ward Town Court in September.
