Potter County: Charges against Luce upheld, moved to Court of Common Pleas

The charges against a man accused of stealing more than $93,000 from Genesee Fire and Ambulance have been upheld and the case has been transferred to the Potter County Court of Common Pleas. A preliminary hearing was held this morning for 35-year-old Scott Andrew Luce of Main Street in Genesee. A spokesperson for District Judge Kari McCleaft in Shinglehouse said the case has now been moved to the county level in Coudersport. The next court date is October 2nd for a criminal conference appearance. Luce faces 128 felony and misdemeanor charges, filed by Pennsylvania State Police. He remains free on a $100,000 bond. Luce was previously convicted of stealing funds from the Independence Emergency Squad. In that case he was ordered to make restitution.
