Wellsville village government uncertain about relocation

Proposed 23 North complex
The Wellsville village government remains in a holding pattern about any potential relocation. Mayor Randy Shaylor said Monday night the village is "on hold" about any potential move from the Municipal Building on North Main Street. The village had been offered space in the 23 North project, now underway. 23 North is the former Burrous Building which has been a controversial issue for several years. When a commercial entity took control of the former furniture store, it had offered rent-free space on the ground floor for the village. The terms recently were modified, which troubled village officials. Mayor Shayler offered no further comment.
