Belmont, NY—ACCORD’s Entrepreneurship Assistance Center is proud to announce that it received the 2019 Award for Outstanding Performance at the recent New York State Entrepreneurship Assistance Centers conference held in Albany, NY on June 12, 2019. Empire State Development presented the award in recognition of ACCORD’s 2018-2019 program performance, achievement, and dedication to entrepreneurs, specifically its assistance with the NYS Minority or Woman-owned Business Certification, Business Mentor NY and area veterans. Bryan Payne, the Business & Loan Manager at ACCORD, accepted the award on behalf of the organization.
ACCORD’s Entrepreneurship Assistance Center is funded by Empire State Development and is dedicated to helping aspiring and current business owners in Allegany, Cattaraugus, and Steuben counties. The program offers a free five-year technical assistance program where entrepreneurs can receive one-on-one help and special trainings and workshops. A formal entrepreneur training course is held twice a year where participants learn the ins and outs of running a business, such as writing a business plan, business structures, accounting/finance practices, marketing, legal issues, social media, and expansion planning.
