Obituary: Julie G. Travis, 50, Corning


Julie G. Travis, 50, of Corning, NY, died Friday, May 24, 2019 in Guthrie Corning Hospital, Corning, NY.  Born October 9, 1968, in Corning, she was the daughter of Darrell and Nina Lowe Farnham.  She was employed by McDonalds in Florida and as a caregiver with the Center for Disability Rights in Corning.  Julie attended the Pentecostal Holiness Church in Cross City, FL.   Surviving are:  her mother, Nina Lowe of Old Town, FL;  her father, Darrell Farnham of Corning;  her companion of 12 years, Darren Leatherman of Corning;  four children, Jeremy Farnham of Old Town, FL, Eric (Angela) Farnham of Avoca, NY, Cassandra Travis of Corning, and Timothy Travis of Corning;  eight grandchildren including a grandson who lived with her, Shawn Travis;  three brothers, Darrell Farnham, Jr. of Corning, William Farnham of Old Town, FL, and Donald Farnham of Corning;  nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.  A private graveside service will be held in Parker Hill Cemetery, Sunderlinville, PA.  The Rev. David Brelo will officiate.  Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
