Canisteo Church to Celebrate “Ronnie Frisbee Sunday”

On Sunday, June 2, the First Presbyterian Church of Canisteo will celebrate “Ronnie Frisbee Sunday.”  This event was developed in honor of their longtime custodian.  Frisbee has worked for First Presbyterian for over 25 years.  He recently retired for health reasons.

Pastor Serra says that the church wanted to be sure to set aside a special time to honor Frisbee and thank him for all he has done for the church over many years.   Pastor Serra continued by saying that “Ronnie is a one of a kind and has gone above and beyond all that we have asked or could have expected.  We will miss having him as an employee but know that he will continue to be an active part of our congregation.”

Ronnie grew up in Rochester but moved to Canisteo in the late 1970s.  For the past many years Ronnie has been employed by the church.  He has assisted not only with the church, but with Somers Hall, Rotary Club, the Canisteo Valley Youth Center and other events.  Ronnie likes going on walks and can be found about town most days.  He also enjoys cooking and caring for his home.

The public is invited to join in celebrating “Ronnie Frisbee Sunday” at the First Presbyterian Church of Canisteo at 10 S. Main St, Canisteo.  The morning Worship service begins at 11 am.  A retirement party with refreshments, presentations and gifts will be held in Somers Hall immediately following the service.
