On February 15, 2019, following a traffic stop, Deputies
from the Sheriff’s Office arrested Jeremiah D. Edwards, age 27 of Amity,
charging him with the following:
- Criminal
Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree
- Obstruction
of Governmental Administration in the 2nd Degree
- Tampering
with Physical Evidence
- Resisting
Arrest
Edwards was processed and arraigned in the Town of
Friendship Court where he was remanded to the Allegany County Jail with bail
set at $50,000 cash or $100,000 bond. Edwards is due to reappear in the Town of
Friendship Court on May 7, 2019 at 4:00 p.m. for additional court action.
Allegany County Sheriff Ricky L. Whitney reports that on
February 15, 2019, Deputies from the Sheriff’s Office assisted the Cuba Police
Department with the arrest of Megan C. Wilber, age 28 of Amity on a Bench
Warrant issued by the Town of Cuba Court. Wilber was processed and turned over
to the Cuba Police Department for additional court action.
