One in custody following Steuben County Meth raid

Early today, members of the New York State Police Community Narcotics Enforcement Team (CNET), Troop”E” Uniform Force, NYSP Special Operations Response Team (SORT), Corning Police Department, Steuben County Sheriff’s Office and the Steuben County District Attorney’s Office conducted a narcotic investigation at Walter Smith Terrace in the City of Corning, NY.     
Investigators seized approximately 8 ounces of methamphetamine, approximately 8 ounces of marihuana, drug paraphernalia, digital scales and US currency.  
As a result of the investigation, James M. Youngs, 33, of Corning  was arrested for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 2nd degree (class A felony) and Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia 2nd degree (class A misdemeanor).  
Youngs was arraigned in the Town of Corning Court and remanded to the Steuben County Jail without bail. 
The arrests stemmed from an investigation conducted by the New York State Police, the Corning Police Department, the Steuben County Sheriff’s Office and the Steuben County District Attorney’s Office.
