Allegany County Young Professionals’ Holiday Event to be Held at Wellsville Brewing Co.
WELLSVILLE – Allegany County’s Young Professionals Group will host a ‘Hoppy’ Holiday celebration at the recently opened Wellsville Brewing Co. on Saturday, December 8, from noon – 2 p.m.
The event will be the group’s second and final large-scale social event of 2018 and organizers are anticipating a sizeable turnout.
“We were really pleased with the attendance at our Mentor Mixer event in September. We received a lot of positive feedback from our young professionals and our business and community leaders after that event, so we’re hoping that the momentum from that event, combined with the appeal of this fun new gathering space on Wellsville’s Main Street, will encourage people to come out and join us for a ‘sled’ of craft brews and some fun,” said Allegany County Young Professionals Board Chair, Tim Keenan.
At this event, young professionals will have an opportunity to make new connections with peers, enjoy some local craft beers at a new location, hear from Otis Eastern Services executive, Casey Joyce, and participate in a door-raffle for a chance to win some great local experiences.
“Increasing and engaging with the Young Professional population in Allegany County is key to our future economic health and community vibrancy,” said Angela McKay, Assistant Director of Economic Development at Allegany County, the office that provides support to the Allegany County Young Professionals Group. “Our Young Professionals Group is one major driver behind our efforts to increase and engage with this population in Allegany County; the activities hosted by this group highlight some of Allegany County’s best assets, keep Young Professionals engaged in their communities, and give them a powerful voice in our county. The group has hosted some fun events over the past several months and the holiday gathering at Wellsville Brewing Co. promises to be a lot of fun in a beautiful new location.”
“Since it opened in October, Wellsville Brewing Company has had some incredible success, so we’re really excited to be holding our holiday event there,” said Keenan. “On behalf of the Allegany County Young Professionals Group, I want to thank Wellsville Brewing Co. for welcoming us on December 8 – if you haven’t been there yet, this is a great reason to come out and experience this new business in downtown Wellsville.”
