Allegany County Legislature set to adopt 2019 county budget - more cuts made

When the Allegany County Legislature gavels into session Monday afternoon, lawmakers will vote on approving the 2019 county budget. It's likely to pass by a unanimous vote. The 101 page document calls for spending close to $122 million next year. The plan includes a slight tax rate decrease. Before the budget is adopted, however, legislators will vote on some last minute adjustments.
Lawmakers plan to add an additional $550,000 to its contingency account.  $400,000 will also be added for reforestation sales. Here is the complete break down of proposed changes:

The legislature meets November 26th at 2 p.m. in Belmont.
