Bolivar woman arrested for crimes during crash investigation UPDATED

On October 13, 2018, Amity-based state police arrested Bobbi J. Lutes, 34, of Bolivar, NY for Burglary, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance, DWAI – Drugs, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle, and numerous traffic infractions.
During the investigation of a two-car property damage accident on State Route 417 in the town of Bolivar, Troopers allege Lutes had been operating her vehicle while under the influence of a controlled substance. Her license had also been suspended on numerous occasions. During the investigation, Troopers say they observed two prescription bottles in Lutes’ vehicle that did not belong to her. They further allege they had been stolen during a burglary that had been reported earlier in the day at a residence on County Road 5B in the town of Wirt.
Lutes was arrested and arraigned in Wirt Town Court, where she was remanded to the Allegany County Jail on $1,000 bail. She is due to appear in Bolivar Town Court in November.
