Wellsville woman severely injured in Potter County motorcycle crash

A Wellsville woman sustained what Pennsylvania State Police called "severe injuries" when the motorcycle she was a passenger on struck a deer in Ulysses Township. Troopers said the crash was reported at 5:02 p.m. Wednesday on Route 449, a mile south of State Route 49.
According to a police incident report, Todd R. Moyer, 46, of Wellsville was operating the motorcycle when he was unable to avoid a collision with a deer. Todd and his passenger, Tamara L. Moyer, 45, of Wellsville were thrown from the motorcycle. Todd Moyer sustained "minor" injuries and was treated at UPMC-Cole. Tamara Moyer was flown by helicopter to Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre with "severe injuries." Troopers said both were wearing protective helmets at the time of the crash.
