Genesee, PA shooting victim improving

The 91-year-old Genesee, PA man who was shot by a reported relative on June 15th is improving according to officials at Strong Memorial Hospital. Turner N. Polen was listed in satisfactory condition Sunday morning, however officials said no visitors or telephones calls were permitted.
Meanwhile, the alleged shooter, John Polen, 21, also of Genesee is expected to make an appearance in District Court. A preliminary hearing has been set for Monday at 11 a.m. before Magisterial District Judge Kari McCleaft. The younger Polen is charged with attempted murder, two counts of felony aggravated assault and reckless endangerment. He was committed to Potter County Jail without bail.
