Almond: 'Field party' ends with injuries and an arrest

A name-protected teenager has been arrested and others were hurt during an incident at a 'field party' at 1:23 a.m. Saturday off Karr Road in Almond. 911 dispatchers first told responding Troopers on the radio that a man was attempting to leave the party when he struck somebody with his truck. Moments later, when Almond fire and ambulance were dispatched to the scene, 911 said over the said that a 19-year-old male had been run over. Based on police scanner reports, there appeared to be more than one injury. Medical resources from Hornell were also sent to the scene. Mercy Flight was requested and  landed nearby and flew one victim to Strong Memorial in Rochester.
State police online reports show that an 18-year-old male from Almond was arrested about two hours after the incident occurred. The youth was charged with reckless endangerment and leaving the scene of a personal injury accident. The teenager was arraigned in court and released. No word on the severity of the injury.
