Wellsville teenager accused of selling heroin


Wellsville Police Tuesday arrested Spencer S. Carl, 17 of Wellsville, charging him with Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance 3rd (Class B Felony) and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd (Class B Felony).  The charges stem from the alleged illegal sale of narcotic drugs (heroin) in the Village of Wellsville.  Carl, who is currently on pre-trial release under the supervision of the Allegany County Probation Department, was processed and arraigned before Associate Wellsville Village Justice Walsh.  Carl was released, so that he could appear in Allegany County Court today. Wellsville Police were assisted by the Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force and the New York State Police C-NET.
