Rochester man faces gun, drug charges in Andover after traffic stop

On Friday, March 9 the Andover Police Department arrested Michael D. Argento, 31, of Rochester charging him with Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd and Criminal Possession of an Assault Weapon 3rd,  both 'D' felonies. He was also charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th, a misdemeanor, Unlawful Possession of Marijuana, a violation and failure to stop at a stop sign. Andover police chief James Rumfelt said the arrest was made after a vehicle stop on Chestnut Street in the Village of Andover. Argento was arraigned by Andover Justice Heckman and released after paying $2,500 cash bail. He is due back in Andover Village Court on Monday, March 12 at 9:00 a.m.
