Memorial service planned for Lloyd Willis, 90, formerly of Jasper

WESTFIELD PA/JASPER NY - A memorial service for Lloyd F. Willis will be held Sunday, April 1st, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Canisteo, NY at 3:00 pm. Don Rice, an elder from the West Mansfield Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses, will be officiating.
Lloyd Willis, 90, of Westfield, PA, formerly of Jasper, NY, passed away on Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hospital in Wellsboro, PA.
Born in Jamestown, NY on September 13, 1927, Lloyd was the son of the late George Calvin and Susan Angeline (Flint) Willis.
On April 29, 1950, Lloyd and the former Joyce L. Wing were married in Arkport, NY. Joyce preceded Lloyd in death on May 9, 2014.
As a young man, Lloyd served in the US Army from 1945-1946 and was stationed in Germany, worked briefly for Crowley Foods in Arkport and also prepared blacktop at A.L. Blades and Sons in Hornell. He eventually began a 25 year career at Polly-O Dairy in Campbell where he was a machine operator.
A man of great faith and patience, he was a long time member of the Canisteo and West Mansfield congregations of  Jehovah’s Witnesses. He took great pride in his 50 year anniversary of his baptism in 1967.
Lloyd was a fun loving and loyal and loving family man. He and Joyce dedicated their lives to the care of their daughter, Robin. They always managed to find a way to enjoy an annual vacation with their beloved family.
Surviving Lloyd are his children and their spouses, Vernon and Marge Willis of Westfield, Steven and Heidi Willis of Jasper, Philip and Jennifer Willis of  Longview, TX and Robin Willis of Westfield, grandchildren, Austin Perry, Sabrina Perry, Thomas Perry, Logan Elizabeth Willis, Maya Willis, Desmond Willis, Carl Jamison, Ryan Willis, Shawn Willis, Jessica Willis (husband, Nathan George) and Jamie (Ethan) Sutter, great grandchildren, Lili, James, Grayson, Conner and Eric along with many nieces and nephews.
Besides Lloyd’s wife Joyce, he was predeceased by his siblings, Otis Willis, George Willis, Paul Willis, Angeline Zeh, William Willis and Harold Willis.
A memorial service has been planned for 3 p.m. on Sunday, April 1, 2018 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Canisteo, NY.
