January 26, Closure of Interstate 86 East from Almond to Hornell
Town of
Hornellsville, Steuben County
The New York State Department of
Transportation announced today that I-86 East between Exit 33, Almond and Exit
34, Hornell will be closed from approximately 9am until 8pm Friday, January 26th.
This road closure is required to allow
placement of concrete barrier to protect a portion of the I-86 East bridge over
State Route 36 at the Hornell Interchange that was damaged by an accident. During the closure motorists travelling eastbound will leave the highway at Exit 33, Almond;
travel 21 North to Hornell, then State Route 36 North to Exit 34 where they
will continue onto I-86 East.
