Cuba Police offer active shooter training to community

On Tuesday January 23rd, 2018 Officer Walt Mackney taught the CRASE (civilian response to active shooter events) course to staff from the Cuba Public Library as well as other library staff members. According to police chief Dustin Burch, the course of instruction covers topics that include shooting events in your organization as well as other violent situations that can occur. It focuses on how to respond and how to safeguard your organization from these types of events. Burch said also on hand for the Tuesday session was the Departments Police Chaplain to discuss the aftermath of these types of situations and outlets to help cope with tragic events.
