Cuba man received probation on felony impaired driving case

There will be no prison time for a Cuba man who pleaded guilty to felony driving while intoxicated. In Allegany County court today, 58-year-old David Shattuck admitted to the crime. He had faced five additional charges when he was first arrested on Route 417 in Genesee on August 26, 2017. Judge Terry Parker sentenced Shattuck to five years probation. He was also fined $1,000, ordered to pay a $520 surcharge, must attend a Victim Impact Panel and do community service and received a one year condition discharge for the ignition interlock device. Shattuck was defended by Assistant Public Defender Patricia Fogerty. The case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Thomas Fuoco.
