National Wreaths Across America Day at Bath National Cemetery

The 2017 Wreaths Across America Day will be held on Saturday, December 16th, in Bath National Cemetery at the Bath VA Medical Center. Placing of the wreaths will begin immediately following the Noon (12:00 PM sharp) ceremony.
The public is invited to attend and is asked to arrive at 11:30 a.m. Parking will be at the back of the Bath VA museum building.

This year’s goal is 2,500+ wreaths with over 900 having been sponsored to date. Wreath sponsorships can be made at www.WreathsAcrossAmerica-BathNY.org.
Anyone interested in participating in the wreath laying ceremony can sign up at the above web site or contact Linda Conway at linda.conway@redcross.org or 607-962-0765.
Buses will be provided to shuttle visitors and participants to the cemetery. All in attendance should dress accordingly. The VA Employees Association will provide refreshments in Bldg. 30 following the event.
Background:
Wreaths Across America is carried out through coordinated wreath-laying ceremonies at Arlington National Cemetery and over 1,100 locations in all 50 US states, including the Bath National Cemetery. The mission is to Remember, Honor and Teach about area service men and women who have given the ultimate sacrifice — their lives — to keep our country free and safe.
