Allegany County lawmakers approve raises, but not everyone agreed

The Allegany County Legislature this afternoon voted to approve a local law that will boost the income of a handful of officials...but not every lawmaker was happy.
Officials poised for raises included:
-County Clerk - $74,154
-Employment & Training Director - $65,692
-Personnel Officer - $73,540
-Public Health Director - $81,358
-Public Works Superintendent - $90,512
-Real Property Tax Director - $72,296
-Sheriff - $75,803
 -Social Services Commissioner - $84,220.
Of the 15 legislators, Timothy O'Grady, R-Wellsville was absent. He was at a Police Chief's conference. That left 14 lawmakers in the room and those voting no were legislators Norman Ungermann, Scott Burt and Karl Graves.
