The New York State Department of Transportation today
announced work will begin on September 19, 2017, on Interstate 86 at Latta
Brook Road in the Town of Horseheads.
Work will include bridge painting over Interstate 86.Work on this project will be done between the hours of 6 pm
to 6 am. Duration of the contract is
expected to last approximately 1 month, with completion of the work expected by
October 31, 2017.While work is being completed, traffic in I-86 will be
maintained by lane closures in one lane.Motorists may encounter flaggers, lane shifts and could
experience travel delays. It is imperative that motorists remember this season
to drive carefully through the many highway and bridge construction zones they
will encounter.
