SP Olean- Mother arrested for DWI Leandra Law after rolling a stolen vehicle with four unrestrained children aboard

PRESS RELEASE
On September 22, 2017, Troopers arrested Alesaundra M. Allen, 24 of Buffalo, NY for Driving While Intoxicated- Leandra Law (Felony), Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 4th, Unlawful Fleeing 3rd, Endangering the Welfare of a Child, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 3rd and numerous Vehicle and Traffic Law summons.
On September 22, 2017 at 8:30 p.m. Troopers attempted to make a traffic stop for a speeding 2008 Nissan Pathfinder on E. River Road in the Town of Olean. The Nissan failed to comply to Troopers emergency lights and turned onto Steam Valley Road. The Nissan, after a short distance, lost control and entered a culvert causing the vehicle to roll once and land upright.
Further investigation revealed that the Nissan was reported stolen out of the City of Buffalo on September 19, 2017. The operator of the Nissan, Allen, was administered stand field sobriety tests by a Drug Recognition Expert in which she allegedly failed. A passenger was also in the vehicle, Keisha C. Weakfall, 26 of Rochester, NY and four children ranging from 3-5 years of age without child restraints. No injuries from any occupants in the vehicle.
Weakfall was released to Olean PD on an active warrant out of the City of Olean. Child Protective Services responded for the children involved.
Allen was arrested and processed at SP Olean.
