PA Department of State Disciplinary Actions

Secretary of State Pedro A. Cortés announced that 128 disciplinary actions have been taken by the Bureau of Professional and Occupational Affairs’ 29 professional licensing boards, the Bureau of Charitable Organizations and the Division of Legislation and Notaries of the Bureau of Commission, Elections, and Legislation:
PA Board of Nursing
Tioga County
 
Myrtle Ruth Webster, license no. PN275266, of Millerton, Tioga County, was assessed a $500 civil penalty and was reprimanded based on receiving disciplinary action by the proper licensing authority of another state and failing to report same to the Board.
OUT OF STATE
Leah Marie Biggins, license no. PN277221, of Pavilion, New York, was assessed a $500 civil penalty and was indefinitely suspended based on her having pled guilty to a crime of moral turpitude and on receiving disciplinary action by the proper licensing authority of another state and failure to report same to the Board.
PA Board of Vehicle Manufacturers, Dealers and Salespersons
Tioga County
Gordon Lee Hurler, license no. MV039631L, of Knoxville, Tioga County, was ordered to pay a civil penalty of eight hundred dollars ($800.00), a public reprimand was placed on his permanent board record, and he shall be ordered to cease and desist from performing any activity which requires a license, registration, certificate, authorization, approval or permit issued by the Board unless and until the Board issues the appropriate authorization to practice the profession, because he acted as a vehicle dealer without a license.
