Obituary: Thomas J. Chalker, 74, Belfast

Belfast - Thomas J. Chalker, 74, of 41 West Hughes Street, passed peacefully Saturday (September 16, 2017) at the Bath VAMC.
Born in Belfast, February 6, 1943, the son of Howard P. and Christine (Bump) Chalker, he was a lifelong area resident, graduating Belfast Central School “Class of 1961”, upon graduating enlisted in the US Army serving until June 26, 1964. Tom was a retired carpenter, lastly working at Babcock Construction in Dansville.
He enjoyed Euchre, carpentry work, and was a proud member of the Belfast Chapter of the Grumpy Old Men Club. However nothing took precedence over his grandkids, of which he adored.
He was predeceased by his parents, and 2 brothers Lee and Jerry Chalker.
He is survived by his wife Karlyn “Cis” Chalker whom he married on September 2, 1967, he also survived by his daughter Amy Chalker (Steve Frungillo) of Cuba, his son Thomas L.(Anne) Chalker of Clifton Forge, VA, his grandkids Hannah Gaeta, Emma Gaeta, Finn Ricketts,2 brothers David Chalker of Belfast, Bernie Chalker of Ocala, FL, 5 sisters Ann (Marty) Moot of Hamburg, Jeanie (Rich) Meyers of Belfast, Laura (Tom) Dutton of Bliss, Doris (Bob) Quinton of Spotsylvania, VA, Ila (Mike) Unfus of Belfast, his beloved dog “Lucy” as well as several nieces, nephews and friends.
A Memorial service will be announced at a later date.
