Obituary: Larry R. Wilson, 65, school teacher, Caneadea

Larry R. Wilson, 65, of 9703 State Route 19, Caneadea, passed away unexpectedly at home on Monday, September 11, 2017. Born on October 11, 1951, in Hume, he was a son of Richard J. and Jean E. Thomas Wilson. Larry was a graduate of Fillmore Central School Class of 1969 and later received his Bachelors Degree in Education from Houghton College and his Masters Degree from St. Bonaventure University. He was a member of St. Partick’s Roman Catholic Church, Fillmore. Larry was a history teacher at Angelica, Friendship, and last at Whitesville Central School where he retired. He was an avid collector of antiques and an avid bird-watcher.  He is survived by two brothers, Stephen Wilson of Jackson, MO and Jay (Roseanna) Wilson of Belfast; Several Nieces and Nephews; and his close friends Eli Miller, William R. Stalker, and Scott Warren. He was predeceased by his parents, a nephew Michael Wilson, and a sister in law Marci Wilson. There will be no visitation.  Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 16, 2017 in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Houghton.  The Rev. Dennis J.J. Mancuso will officiate.
