New Fire Investigators appointed in Allegany County

Three new Fire Investigators have been appointed in Allegany County. Emergency Manager Jeff Luckey said this afternoon that he has appointed new Investigators. He said the volunteers are seasoned professionals and are in the midst of advancing their fire science education.
Appointed to the new roles are:
  1. Whitesville Fire Chief Brad Mattison, the new FI-8.
  2. Allentown Fire Chief Paul Edwards, the new FI-4.
  3. Cuba Fire Police Captain Robin Valeri, the new FI-12.
Each new investigator will undergo 120 hours of training plus 80 hours of shadowing an existing Investigator. Luckey said the county currently has about a dozen Fire Investigators all servicing on a volunteer basis.
