The contenders for the Class of 2017 National Toy Hall of
Fame were announced Tuesday and they include such “no frills” toys as the paper
airplane, sand, and play food. Other
nominees include the board games Risk and Clue, the Magic 8 ball, Matchbox
cars, My Little Pony, the PEZ candy dispenser, Transformers, the card game Uno,
and Wiffle Ball. Winners will be
inducted in the hall at the Strong Museum in Rochester on November 9th.
