Another No. 1 ranking for Alfred State

For the 11th straight year, Alfred State is highly ranked on the latest US News & World Report Best Colleges list.
Alfred State is No. 1 among all SUNY schools in the Northern Regional Colleges category. For schools with out-of-state tuition and fees below $12,000, once again Alfred State earned a No. 1 ranking in the north.
When looking at all public colleges in the 11-state northern region, the report ranked Alfred State an impressive No. 6 overall, No. 3 on the Best Value list for public colleges, and No. 3 on the Best Colleges for Veterans list of northern public schools.
“We recognize that many students compare a long list of colleges and the 2018 US News & World Report Best Colleges rankings are instrumental to both students and parents researching their options,” said Alfred State President Dr. Skip Sullivan. “We’re very grateful that this prestigious list recognizes our faculty excellence, hands-on career preparation, and the superior student experience found at Alfred State. We’ve placed highly in a number of national rankings lately and it’s a tremendous honor.”
Recently Money Magazine’s Best Colleges for Your Money recognized Alfred State’s web development program as best in the nation, while cyber security, applications software development, and network administration came in at No. 2 among all colleges offering similar degrees. An additional eight majors also made the national top ten list by Money. TheBestColleges.org ranks the college’s veterinary technology program No. 3 in the country. Praise from student reviews also gained high marks for Alfred State from Princeton Review and Niche.com.
