Wyoming County: Axe in car roof, no doors - cops say 'something isn't right!'



Jared T. Price, 21 of Java, was arrested Monday following a complaint of a suspicious vehicle.  Wyoming County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the report of a vehicle driving without license plates on Youngers Road in the Town of Wethersfield.  Deputies arrived and located a vehicle operated by Jared T. Price on Youngers Road at the intersection with Wethersfield Road. 
The vehicle was observed to be driven with no license plates, no windshield, and no doors with an axe stuck in the roof.  According to a press release, during the traffic stop Price performed poorly on field sobriety testing and was taken into custody.  Price’s vehicle was towed from the scene, and he was taken to the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office for a drug influence evaluation.  Price was evaluated by a certified Drug Recognition Expert and was allegedly found to be impaired by multiple different drug categories. 
Price was charged with Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs, Driving While Ability Impaired by the Combined Influence of Drugs, No License Plates, Unregistered Motor Vehicle, Uninspected Motor Vehicle, Operating Without Insurance, No Front Windshield, and No Safety Glass.  Price was arraigned in the Town of Gainesville Court where bail was set in the amount of $10,000.00 cash bail or $20,000.00 bond.  Price was scheduled for further proceedings in the Town of Wethersfield Court on August 1, 2017.
