Wellsville Police: Main Street flower box 'smasher' arrested

Wellsville Police today arrested Ryan M. Billings, 40, of Wellsville, charging him with Criminal Mischief 3rd (Class E Felony).  The charge stems from an incident that took place in the Business District on May 21st where Billings allegedly overturned flower boxes on North Main Street causing damage to the boxes and flowers.  Billings was processed and arraigned before Associate Village Judge Shaun Walsh.  Billings was released on his own recognizance and is due back in Wellsville Village Court on June 6th at 4:30 p.m.  In a  press statement, the Wellsville Police Department said they would like to thank the local business owners for providing video footage of the incident and the public for their assistance in identifying the subject.
