Bolivar man avoids prison on rape and aggravated DWI charges in separate cases

A Bolivar man avoided prison time after faceing charges in two cases involving cases for counts of rape, child endangerment, weapons possession and resisting arrest from an incident in Bolivar last July and counts of aggravated DWI and other charges from a case in Genesee last November. David L. Phearsdorf of North Main Street in Bolivar pleaded guilty today to attempted rape of a child under age 17. Prosecutors said that at the time of the incident, Phearsdorf possessed a weapon and resisted troopers. He was sentenced to six years probation and electronic home monitoring for six months. On the driving while impaired count, he was sentenced to five years probation, ignition interlock, $1,520 in restitution and license revocation.
