Wellsville crash under investigation UPDATED

A two vehicle crash at the busy intersection of Madison Street and Genesee Parkway in the Village of Wellsville late Wednesday afternoon snarled traffic for hours. We're told unofficially that there were no life-threatening injuries, but the crash (we're told) involved an unmarked state police vehicle. Village and state police responded to the scene and troopers called in their accident reconstruction unit. The intersection was closed for several hours. The crash scene extended into the dinner hour and the Texas Hot provided dogs for the on-scene workers.
