SP Olean – Woman arrested after claiming to be her sister on a traffic stop

On Wednesday at 11:20 a.m., Troopers arrested Kelly M. Crawford, 36, of Portville for criminal impersonation 2nd, aggravated unlicensed operation 3rd, and vehicle and traffic violations. 
In a press release, troopers said Crawford was stopped on State Route 417 in Portville for speeding and tinted windows.  Police said Crawford did not have a driver’s license or photo ID with her at the time of the stop.  Crawford allegedly gave her sister’s name and date of birth to the interviewing Trooper.  Upon further investigation, Crawford’s true identity was determined, according to the release.  Crawford’s license was revoked.  Crawford was then arrested and transported to SP Olean for processing.  Crawford was charged with criminal impersonation 2nd, aggravated unlicensed operation 3rd, and V&T violations.  Crawford was issued appearance tickets returnable to the Town of Portville court for June 2017.
