SP Machias - Traffic Stop Leads to Narcotic Arrest

PRESS RELEASEOn January 25, 2017 at approximatly 6:40 p.m., Troopers arrested Trisha M. Fernandez, 26 of Salamanca, for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th and Sean Ferguson ,31 of Buffalo, for Unlawful Possession of Marijuana.
Ferguson was stopped on State Route 16 in the Town of Machias for a vehicle and traffic violation.  While interviewing Ferguson, the odor of marijuana was allegedly present.  A search of the vehicle and passenger allegedly yeilded the discovery of a small amount of cocaine in Fernandezs' bag, and a small amount of marijauna in the vehicle.
Both subjects were issued appearence tickets for the Town of Machias for February 2017.
